Now you can do something with all those random wooden boards that you got from Home Depot when you thought about rebuilding your porch. Designer Petr Kostelov created this home entirely out of solid wood (with the exception of the stone base) for some Russian clients. The architect used many different types of hardwood to keep it stylistically interesting, and all of the windows have wooden slats to control the amount of light coming in.
On the plus side, wood can be harvested more sustainably than other materials, and you're less likely to get cancer or other awful diseases from it. So aside from fires and termites it's basically flawless. Check out the details, including great internal views, at Dornob.
