Paul Shaffer's memoir, "We'll Be Here for the Rest of Our Lives," covers everything from his stint as "Saturday Night Live"'s first musical director to the many years he's spent with David Letterman. Oh, and also that time he co-wrote "It's Raining Men." For realsies, look it up. Dude's done everything. Also in stores this week:
-- "Manhood for Amateurs" is the first book of essays from acclaimed author Michael Chabon. Memo to nerds: There's an essay about LEGOs.
-- "Absolute Death" collects the "Sandman" spin-off comics featuring the beloved Death character. Arguably some of Neil Gaiman's best work, and an inspiration to mopey teens since the early '90s.
-- "The Supergirls" chronicles the history of female superheroines in an age where they continually struggle to be taken seriously.

Paul Shaffer's memoir sounds like a good book, they read some excerpts from it on Letterman and they were really funny. I'll get it once it hits the Library.
