Tommy Christopher is Asylum White House correspondent.

Fox News and Glenn Beck are currently engaged in a war of words with the White House and, more specifically, Communications Director Anita Dunn. Beck has seen his star rise on the strength of attacks on the president and his administration, even as advertisers have fled the Fox host's show. Dunn told CNN last week that Fox is not "a real news network."

I asked Press Secretary Robert Gibbs about the dust-up at Tuesday's briefing, and Beck used a snippet of that exchange on his show last night. In fairness to the White House and Asylum, we present both versions. See the full clip, in which Gibbs tries to bust my chops for question-hogging, refuses to be put in a box and briefly channels Dr. Evil.

Here's the clip from the Beck show, in which he talks about setting up a hotline for the White House to call with complaints about his show.

What Beck left out was Gibbs' first crack at the question and the second half of the follow-up, in which he spreads the wealth a little. While Dunn did single Fox out, Gibbs is at least attempting to be fair.

I also asked Gibbs about the public health insurance option. The "box" in question refers to several others trying to play "the box game," as Gibbs put it, but the whole thing made me think, "Step one: cut a hole in a box ..."

In my own defense, I didn't ask three questions. Follow-ups don't count. He's also obviously getting tired of answering the public option question, but it's clearly an important one.
