Sure, the life of a college student can be pretty busy, but we always managed to find time for school, work and all those sessions of Edward Fortyhands. But a Georgetown student named Charles Cooper must be having a harder time finding a work-life-drinking balance, because he recently placed an ad for a fellow student to be his personal assistant for five hours per week.

The Georgetown Voice comments are filled with attacks on this Charles Cooper, who, while going to school and working an intense part-time job, simply wanted someone to spend an hour a day organizing his closet, making his bed, scheduling his haircut appointments, and picking up his laundry.

The attacks on Cooper were immediate and merciless. Some students said they wanted to cause him physical harm for "exploiting" other students. One went so far as to say, "I hope Mr. Cooper gets hit by a bus." Another called him one of "the pampered princelings" of Georgetown. Pampered? The guy's offering to pay $12 an hour for you to fold his laundry -- and he's a student. It may not add up to $100K per annum, but it's got to be better than working at the student center.

Then again, we can see how someone would want to strangle a guy who'd compose this:

"Tasks such as doing laundry that involve a lot of waiting around (time when you could be doing other tasks or doing your own stuff) will be counted for the approximate amount of time it would take to do the labor involved. For instance, laundry will be counted for half-an-hour, even though a laundry cycle takes one-and-a-half hours to complete."

We're thinking of putting up our own Craigslist posting for a personal assistant. It might go something like this:

Lazy Writer Needs Someone to Wipe His Ass (Internship) -- Brooklyn

Do you like sleeping in til 11 a.m.? Too bad, because I do and that means you need to be up by 5 to read the newspapers for me and tell me what I should think. Also, you need to be hot and wear minimal clothing, especially in the winter when everyone else is covered up by parkas.

You should also be a chick.

Maybe that's not such a great plan for better managing our time.
