Required viewing from the week in movies.

While "Ong Bak 2: The Beginning" reportedly hit some production snags (like star/co-director Tony Jaa quitting before it was even finished), word is the film still retains the original's intensely kinetic action sequences. Like, uh, fighting on top of an elephant. That's more than a little awesome.

Also in theaters this week:

-- Though "Astro Boy" is a fairly by-the-numbers CGI film, it does feature Astro's famous butt gun. Don't remember seeing that in "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs."
-- How is "Saw VI" even possible? Didn't Jigsaw die like three movies ago? Anyway, Cary Elwes is back apparently. "Robin Hood: Men in Tights" fans can rest easy.
-- Buzz has it that "Antichrist," Lars Von Trier's Cannes sensation, contains enough disgustingly shocking material to fill six more "Saw" movies.
