A little boy in San Francisco put Pete Townsend to shame, and all for a pair of free sneakers and a chance to get his name on a Web site. He didn't point police to another secret cache of kiddie porn, but he did smash the world record for guitar windmills. The kid, Spencer Borbon, maniacally whizzed his arm around in a circle 79 times in 30 seconds, beating the previous world record of 72. The whole thing was part of the San Francisco Treasure Island Music festival, where the Universal Record Database was walking around recording video of people breaking world records.
Even if Borbon's shoulder will never be the same, at least he has his place on the Internet. That is, until another, younger kid gets hyped up on bug juice and takes him out.

IF this "World Record" is in ANY way "newsworthy", maybe the article WRITERS had ought to WATCH the video! It was 80 windmills, not 79. Can you say duhhhh?

NO guitar. Doesn't count. When Pete does it it is with a guitar and he strikes the guitar and half the time he rips off fingernails and draws blood. When the kid has a guitar and hits it 80 times, even if he doesn't draw blood, then we will count it. Oh, yeah, and he must strike actual chords that are in tune and he must strike it in time with a song and a band.
Other than that...

On one hand you say thats great for the kid. He has a world record. Then, on the other hand.....who gives a crap. What a bunch of bull! LMAO I like the comment above that he has to do it with a real guitar, to a tune, in tune, with a band! Rock ON!
