The good people of Toshiba are providing a new way for you to be constantly plugged in with fresh and ready gadgets for your busy, always-forgetting-your-charger lifestyle. It's a fuel cell, which works by combining alcohol and oxygen. The chemical reaction creates electricity which then powers up a lithium ion battery charger. The ensemble costs (gulp) $325 for the device and each fuel cell is another $34, so maybe you should stick to those portable solar panels. But did they mention this one has alcohol?
Don't get too excited. It's not the kind of alcohol you can drink, unless you enjoy going blind. The fuel cell uses methanol. [via Engadget]
