Longtime Mad magazine readers all remember the schematics in the back of the book to make a hovercraft with a small Briggs & Stratton engine. You wanted it, though you knew it would never work. After all, how many people have you ever seen getting around in a residential hovercraft? Now, if you happen to have $14,000 lying around, you can pick up the Airboard and and achieve your floaty dream. It is gas-powered and rips you along at a screaming 15 mph. The Airboard is basically operated like a Segway in that it's steered by the driver shifting weight.
Make a trip to the Airboard site to see it in action, above the ground. We think you'll agree -- it looks like the most exciting street sweeper on the market. [via Dvice]
