Readers were mixed on our report on the "Your Wife Is Not Hot!" billboard controversy in South Florida. Some found the ad offensive, while others appreciate a good air conditioning-related pun.

Ian said, "Great billboard copy. They got noticed and upset the competition. Nothing offensive, just clever. Hope you get lots of business."

haveletgothecoat added, "I love billboards like this. My favorite is for an adult store that says: 'It's cheaper than dating.' Gotta love American know-how."

But woodpilot brought it home with, "Now that is funny. People need to lighten up. There used to be a billboard just outside the Indy airport for a radio station that said 'We have been spending night and day with your wife since you've been gone.'"

We love a good radio station play on words. You might call it a "phrase that pays."
