Our happy hour fact to amaze your drinking buddies with.

13.9 percent of men, and 8.9 percent of women between the age of 25 and 45 have never had sex.

A survey of 7,000 American adults found that those who went to church at least once a week were about four times more likely to be virgins. Teetotalers were also slightly more likely to have refrained from sex.

For women, a college degree increased the chances they were still chaste by five-fold. The rate of virginity is uniformly lower among those who've served in the military, African Americans, and those who've been to prison (yikes). Factors that don't appear to have any bearing on whether or not an adult has had sex include weight, income and health.

This higher-than-expected rate of virginity suggests the survey counted all those who responded "One time, at camp, I sorta got it in" as still having their V-card.
