15) "Resident Evil 4" -- After several false starts, Capcom finally settled on a brand new style for the next installment of their hit horror series. This trailer only hints at the greatness the final product delivered; waiting for the game after watching it was torturous.

14) "Devil May Cry 3" -- Demonic pretty boys fighting atop an evil tower to the tune of industrial goth metal. Made in Japan, though saying that is redundant.

13) "Uncharted 2" -- Though just released, "Uncharted 2" ranks high on this list thanks to a trailer that would make Michael Bay explode.

12) "Full Throttle" -- Raucous rock n' roll surges as cartoon bikers peel down a highway avoiding crazy truckers and gunfire. "Full Throttle" may be a forgotten gem from the '90s, but this stylish trailer earns Tim Schafer's PC adventure game a spot on the list.

11) "Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty" -- We're still confused about the plot, but this trailer -- showcasing Solid Snake, his bad-ass mullet and Harry Gregson-Williams' patented pounding music -- gets the adrenaline pumping.

10) "Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway" -- War is hell, but this trailer made us eager to jump into the polygonal trenches of World War II one more time.

9) "Grand Theft Auto IV" -- The GTA games get it all: critical praise, commercial success and great trailers. Niko Bellic arrives in Liberty City to pursue the American Dream only to realize he has to shoot a lot of people to get it.

8) "Hellgate: London" -- Five minutes of slaughtering demons. Enough said.

7) "Dead Space" -- "Twinkle Twinkle, Little Star" is forever tainted thanks to this frightening trailer.

6) "Killzone 2" -- This trailer caught a lot of flak for being a fake-out, but it's still awe-inspiring.

5) "BioShock" -- This brutal trailer literally puts us into the shoes of main character, Jack, as he attempts to fend off a Big Daddy. Luckily, the game doesn't end the same way.

4) "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" -- With the highly anticipated sequel just around the corner, it's surprising that this trailer still makes our jaws drop two years later. Frantic firefights and explosive set pieces unfold with the surgical precision of an airstrike.

3) "Duke Nukem Forever" -- Long before this game was canned outright, "Duke" was more associated with delays and false starts than kicking ass and taking babes. This older trailer may make graphic whores cringe, but there's no denying how awesome it is, or how sad we are that it won't ever be released.

2) "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" -- Yes, this announcement trailer made fanboys openly weep when it was first shown. However, it has enough epic to counter the emo and proves you don't necessarily need a bunch of explosions for a great video.

1) "Final Fantasy VIII" -- Surprised? Angry? Content? While "Final Fantasy VII" may have taken the series and the RPG genre in general into brand new territory, the second PlayStation installment of one of the biggest video game franchises of all time got one hell of a trailer, earning it the top spot for best video game trailer of all time.
