Twenty years ago Cameron Crowe's "Say Anything" made a generation of women swoon and a generation of guys wonder what the hell John Cusack was doing holding up a boombox while it played Peter Gabriel. Has that ever worked on a woman in the history of ever? That aside, to commemorate this 20th anniversary of the movie and its release on Blu-ray, an army of Lloyd Doblers (the character Cusack played in the film) took to the streets of New York, complete with brown overcoats and boomboxes, to drown the city in Peter Gabriel music once again.
Apparently being a Dobler is a rigorous task, as the team moved through the city from Washington Square Park to Union Square and ended up in Times Square in time for an acoustic concert which will naturally featured yet more Peter Gabriel.
