Gearing up for this weekend's Strikeforce event, we've been scouring the Web and talking to other MMA fans. Lemondrop's Laura Gilbert is a MMA afficionado (who also fearlessly stares down fighters in her spare time), and MMAHotStuff.com serves as further evidence that there are plenty of ladies who love their televised matches rough. Rachel, Miss MMA Hot Stuff herself, runs an in-depth blog that brings the latest fighter interviews, news, stats and polls to her readers. Follow her on Twitter if you want insight on which fighters to follow or who Rachel is banking on winning the next match.
We're sad that she is out on the west coast, because that means she's missing out on our Strikeforce party tomorrow night in NYC. Rachel is, of course, endorsing the party strongly. You can visit our event page to RSVP and get more information. In the meantime, read on to hear about her thoughts on Joe Silva, Twitter in the bedroom and more.
If I had to watch one movie on loop forever, it would be: "Any Given Sunday." I know it's a crap movie but my dream is to own a NFL team. Don't judge me.
My worst habit is: Twitter. Is there such as thing as too much of a good thing? Apparently my fiance thinks so. We have a new rule, no Twitter in bed.
I'd love to trade places for a day with: Joe Silva. But I'd want to be in my body. No offense to Joe but I like being a girl.
My friends would be surprised to know that I: have taken an interest in covering boxing in addition to MMA. Even my dad is shocked. But it's a sport full of history. Oh, and I'm learning Portuguese. Because asking Brazilian fighters questions on media calls in Portuguese is a dream of mine.
Five people I'd like to have dinner with (living or dead) are:
Jimmy Johnson, the NFL coach. I think there are a few JJs out there, so I needed to clarify.
David and Victoria Beckham, because they're sexy bitches and I'd hope too many cocktails could lead to dessert.
Joe Silva. I'm sure he'd give me all the UFC insider info.
Rachel Zoe. It makes sense -- I'm a fashion horse.
My favorite thing about Asylum.com is: It's straight talk with just the right amount of cheekiness. This is a bookmark must for all men.
"Who Is ..." is a weekly feature that lets us profile one of our Internet friends -- a reader from Asylum.com comments, Twitter @replies, or our Facebook wall. So speak up, and lure us into your Web of friendship. We'll return the favor by letting the world know who you are.
