We don't want to say that all women are bad drivers, but we've found at least one who strongly believes in conforming to stereotypes. While picking up a relative at Tampa International Airport on Monday, Yamile Campuzano-Martine, a woman, lost control of her pickup truck and crashed into a 1,500-gallon saltwater aquarium.
The fish tank, worth $50,000 to $100,000, was part of a public art exhibit by the airport and contained dozens of exotic angelfish, blue tang and clown fish, worth up to $5,000. "It's unlikely that any of the animals will survive," said Tom Wagner of the Florida Aquarium.
Meanwhile, Campuzano-Martine and the two kids she had in the truck (including a 6-year-old on her lap) were just fine. The woman was charged with careless driving, failure to use a child restraint device and failure to provide a driver's license.
As a result of the accident, Tampa Airport officials are now reconsidering their upcoming exhibit of precariously stacked crystal glasses.
