"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" continues the story from its previous incarnation, taking the franchise's beloved gameplay to believable battlefield scenarios all over the world. The third installment is reportedly going to get even more realistic. Also in stores this week:
-- "New Super Mario Bros." an update of the classic game (this time, for the Wii) allows you to play as Mario, Luigi and Toad. Like Toad's not going to steal the Princess away from Mario. It's "Mario 2" all over again.
-- "Pro-Evolution Soccer 2010" includes new, so-called "Transcendent Visuals," which offer the following promise: "When you play as Messi, it will be like Messi is playing." That should mean something to anyone who knows who Messi is.
-- "Harvest Moon: Sunshine Island" is basically another "Farmville"-style game and not, sadly, a "Rock Band"-style adaptation of the Neil Young album.
