Because of our childishness, when we first saw the product name "Hang & Level," we figured it was just another one of those male enhancement advertisements that clutter our inbox. But we took a look and realized this was actually something useful: a tool developed to help hang your pictures. Unless you're an architect, engineer or some kind of construction genius, you probably don't love hanging pictures. Non-experts, like us, end up boring 16 extra holes into our walls, resulting in our landlords extracting monetary revenge.
To use the Hang & Level, hang the picture where you want it onto the device, and then press one of the buttons which makes an impression for where the nail should go. Once the picture's on the wall you can flip the tool on its side and use it as a level.
The Hang & Level is available at Home Depot, and its cost is a reasonable $15 -- far below whatever fraction of your security deposit you'll have to forfeit if you go without it.
