Da Vinci's most famous muse had eyebrows when he originally painted her.According to French art expert Pascal Cotte, inventor of a super sensitive 240-megapixel camera, which he used to examine the legendary piece of art, Leonardo da Vinci painted the Mona Lisa in layers. One of which was a special glaze for making the painting look three-dimensional.
Over time, this glaze has eroded, taking with it any details that were added above it, including the famed lady's eyebrows.
No word on whether the disappearance of a similar glaze is also responsible for the lack of eyebrows on Whoopi Goldberg.
