Our happy hour fact to amaze your drinking buddies with.

Da Vinci's most famous muse had eyebrows when he originally painted her.

According to French art expert Pascal Cotte, inventor of a super sensitive 240-megapixel camera, which he used to examine the legendary piece of art, Leonardo da Vinci painted the Mona Lisa in layers. One of which was a special glaze for making the painting look three-dimensional.

Over time, this glaze has eroded, taking with it any details that were added above it, including the famed lady's eyebrows.

No word on whether the disappearance of a similar glaze is also responsible for the lack of eyebrows on Whoopi Goldberg.
