Everyone likes a mystery; that's why Scooby Doo was so popular. And in that grand tradition we have this video of a wedding reception gone awry.
Filmed on a shaky camera in poor resolution, the vid shows shows a happening scene under a tent with a band rocking out and some dancing. One lady is a little more festive than the rest of the guests as she dances with the pole that seems to be supporting the entire tent. How could this turn out badly?
As the band plays on, the entire tent comes crashing down under the weight of the one drunken dancer. The icing on the cake is when everyone pulls themselves free and dusts themselves off at the end and you get to see the bride, with eyes like an angry wolf on the tundra, has a bloody nose.
The immediate buzz on this video is that it's as fake as a three-dollar bill, while others view it as a hapless Funniest Home Videos kind of scenario. One the one hand, it seems pretty amateur, but on the other hand if this is a real wedding video, why does no one look at the camera beforehand or seem particularly happy in any way? Why is that old man running to catch her before she actually makes contact with the pole? Read on to watch the video, then give us your take.

I have played in bands at wedding receptions for over thirty years. Given the nature of the situation, it is real, I've seen it dozens of times, in fact this one was kind of mild.

The one to blame is Al K. Hall (alcohol) Looks real. I thing the old guy trying to stop her knew the pole would not take the strain. Don't think it was staged, looked too risky.

Well she seems pretty drunk and you can't fake being that way. Trust me, I've been there. Haha

FAKE...I am in the tent business...those center poles can withstand some fat chick hanging on them and one pole falling doesn't make the entire tent collapse.

I want to know where are the tears. I would think that if a bride was bloodied and just had her wedding trashed, there would be tears and cries of anguish. Just sayin'.

What we are looking at is a cultural difference in emotion and celebration, that's why the people don't look especially "happy." The dancing and music is universally symbolic of celebration and "happiness." The elderly man, as were others, including the bride, was aware of the drunk woman's actions, they just ignored her, as usual. But he saw that she needed direct intervention when he saw her headed toward the pole as she grabbed it. Yes, the video seems real to me. An unfortunate mishap. The wedding party, probably mostly family, seemed to be quite familiar with the woman and her tendency toward "over-the-top" behavior. These are not highly emotional people, culturally. The are just dealing with the matter at hand in a sober, practical way.

Please. Unless the cinematographer from Cloverleaf happened to be at the wedding, this is way to "perfect." Totally fake and set up. The shaking camera just happens to be on the most important points of action - EVEN after the ten collapses? Come on folks.

Why doesn't the person filming scream or something? They seem a little too quiet to me-- and don't you think more people would be looking at the pole dancer make a fool of herself? seems like everyone was ignoring her?

Man!!! I would have kicked that woman's behind from the first tim she did that. On top of that, she had the nerve to wear red and look trashy at the wedding....heck no! I wouldn't have cared who she was...all I know is on my day everybody will respect me and I am enforcing the dress code AND NO ALCOHOL!!!

Doing drunk scenes are standard for drama class, however it would take a real heel to do such a thing at a wedding. Usually, you're only invited to a wedding. I believe this was an unfortunate mistake. There is such an emphasis in the media for the pole dances that exotic dancers do that women feeling sensuous seem to feel they need to do this to show or to be uninhibited. Hoping that the tent was re-erected and all went on with laughter and no anger.

It's real. When you see something like this happening, people go into kind of shock delayed reactions. The bride is in disbelief that this tramp first grabs her husband, is dressed in Scarlet, is gyrating like a gypsy out of control... it is not staged... playing around with a tent would be stupid. They're lucky more people weren't injured.

Anyone whom thinks this is real is a moron. Point A) There is a LIVE band playing correct? Then when the tent begins to fall why is there sound of a record skipping? I see no DJ. Gullible people... The whole cinematic looks fake as well.
