Today sees the release of Sarah Palin's hotly pre-sold book "Going Rogue," which threatens to blot out the sun. Since Palin is about to become the white-hot center of the media universe, we turned to filmmaker, author and radio host John Ziegler for some fresh insight into the former Alaska governor.Ziegler is the filmmaker behind "Media Malpractice -- How Obama Got Elected and Palin Was Targeted," which makes him an indirect collaborator on "Going Rogue." He tells us that, early in the process, Palin handed a copy of his film to her ghostwriter, and its influence can be seen in early reviews. More than just a fan, John Ziegler is a Sarah Palin expert.
We asked John to share with us the top five things the left doesn't get about Sarah Palin:
1. She is smart.
"I defy anyone to come out of the year that she did and in three months put together from memory their entire life story in a 400-page book that is compelling, well-written, organized, funny and credible. Good luck!"
2. She has remarkable instincts.
"Even I thought that the resignation was a mistake (mostly in the way it was allowed to be negatively spun), and yet just a few months later, that alleged disaster looks like a stroke of genius. She understands that the benefit to all of the horrendous media coverage that she has endured is that she now has a level of celebrity that allows her to remain relevant without an official title."
3. She is not an extremist.
"You can actually make a really strong argument that she is more anti-Republican Party than pro- and more of a real environmentalist than Al Gore. She is also very open-minded on abortion, gay rights and the evolution/creationism debate."
4. She says what she actually means.
"I can't tell you how many times I have laughed at the left not being able to figure out what Palin's real motives are or what she is really up to. It is actually very simple. She says what she means and vice versa. The resignation was a perfect example. I predicted it and asked her about it before it happened because I did something highly unusual: I listened carefully to what she was saying and took her at her word."
5. She isn't going away.
"In their zeal to destroy her, the left/media has actually ensured that Sarah Palin will be a factor in the national debate for as long as she wants to be."

Ziegler is an idiot. A politician never says what they mean, especially one as idiotic as Palin.

So she's open-minded regarding the evolution/creationism debate, huh?
Apparently not open-minded enough to admit that there is no debate to be had, just modern scientific fact vs. bronze age opinion. How is that a debate?

Sarah Palin is, objectively speaking, an idiot, and this is obvious and completely verifiable. Nothing one of her fanboys says is going to convince any sane person otherwise.

I'm not a huge Palin fan but you have to admit the bias in the media against her. She was clearly more qualified than Obama as she actually ran a city and a state. Obama never ran so much as a popcorn stand.

LOL! Being "open-minded" abut the "evolution-creation debate" is akin to being open minded about round vs flat Earth debate. As has been said, one must keep an open mind, but not so open that one's brains fall out. Palin's (and, apparently, Ziegler's) did.
