There are numerous reasons to dread your ladyfriend's request to attend a screening of "The Twilight Saga: New Moon." For our money, the biggest sham about this soap-opera-disguised-as-horror flick is the perversion of the cinematic werewolf tradition. Transforming into a werewolf is a painful, guilt-ridden ritual. For the backup dancers passed off as lycanthropes in the latest "Twilight" yarn, however, becoming a wolf is as easy as slapping on some Bed Head Sculpting Putty and tanning lotion (which they've clearly already got covered).
Asylum's Nick Ross is particularly dismayed with this faux werewolf-ery, so he went to work illustrating his dismay in the latest All Mashed Up.

But.. they're not actually werewolves. They're shape shifters who happen to turn into wolves.

this is stupid. If this guy had read the book (which he clearly hasn't) he would know that these guys go through a lot of pain to become these wolves. And Dustin is right, they are not supposed to be werewolves, so this whole video is stupid.

well, its obvious whoever wrote this article has no intrpretation of romance, thence my interpretation he is not mature enough to handle it.

I agree with everything in the article. Looking forward to the Wolfman with DelToro to remind everyone how it's supposed to be done.
Sidenote -
Is it true, do you really have 'no intrpretation of romance'?
Also best use of the word thence.
I hope you haven't read those books; there are much safer ways to castrate yourself.

But Taylor Lautner is hot; therefore, who cares?

Yeah, my thoughts exactly. I personally don't mind seeing Taylor Lautner without his shirt on... But I agree that the movie transformation could have been done better, but they are shape-shifters (as opposed to weres) so maybe they were trying to stray from werewolf cliches.
