A man going by the name of SAL9000 is set to prove just how little effort it takes to get some attention on the Internet by marrying his virtual girlfriend. Does that mean we have artificial intelligence now capable of emotions? Not quite. Our friend SAL plays a Nintendo DS game called "Love Plus," which is exactly like "World of Warcraft" if all you did in "World of Warcraft" was take pretend people on dates.
Sal proposed to his virtual bride, Nene Anegasaki, with the intention of honeymooning in Guam. Apparently this means the dude took his Nintendo DS to Guam and took some pictures that he can show to his friends and family (assuming he has some that don't have to be programmed to smile and nod).
Once in Guam, the fun was livecast on a Japanese video-sharing site in advance of the public reception in Tokyo.
From there the couple presumably went home to experience a brief period of wedded bliss before she started nagging him about plugging her in to recharge, and he started playing around with someone else's stylus.

The "fun" was live telecast in Japan? What fun? The guy and his DS in GUAM? And why did he actually take it to GUAM? Why not just pretend he's in GUAM like he pretends to be dating this virtual chick?

DAMN!!!....wish I thought of that before I married a real life humanoid...would have saved myself $90.000 dollars last year!!!...Think about it...you can skip the foreplay, the wine and dine routine, the useless gifts, the boring ass verbal tripe from her friends and family and the best part is that after you launch some baby-batter her way, hit the x spot and your back on x-box!...GENIUS!!

Well, if women weren't so picky, there wouldn't be games like this. That's right, too many women want their ideal man, if you've got the nerve to call someone a loser, then maybe you should give him a chance. The only way to really get a guy off games is to kick his butt at them, the he won't be so enthuziastic. I do say this because I happen to be an expert gamer, and the only thing better than shutting you no imagination havers is finding a girl who is a gamer and knows, emphasis on knows, that it is just a game. So, shut the f*** up everyone who has the nerve to call this guy a loser. One good thing is, he doesn't have to worry about her cheating on him.

Just wanted to point out to all the ladies calling this guy a loser... Did you stop and think that maybe, its your fault that many guys can get to this point?
Do you really think a guy would rather have a virtual girlfriend instead of a real one?
Not really, but the virtual girl simply gave him a chance, and didn't call him a loser when he approached her. Lucky for him there are games like this to help ease the pain that so many of you, cause to so many of us.
And you wonder why some guys act like jerks and play with your emotions.

Back in 1997, when AOL Love let people do this, I fake-married my online girlfriend, with 2 of my friends in the chat room as witnesses. Eventually, we briefly dated. Though the long distance worked against us, we were good friends for over 12 years. That is, until last month when she turned psycho on me because I continue to talk to one of her girlfriends, even though she was the one who introduced the two of us. Psycho is as psycho does! I just thought I'd throw that out there!

Truth is a lot of guys are actually Gay, but in denial due to social/cultural pressures including their families. So many marry and are totally miserable in that sort of relationship. Society has a lot of 'repairing' to do to it's so called standards which really means get out of people's personal lives, allow any and all to marry or be with their partners, and have as much full acceptance of other members of the human race as they do for those with whom they admire and choose to be with.
We have much to do in changing laws from the Federa level including getting rid of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell", and the Defense of Marriage Act allowing all states to fully support all marriages! Until that all happens, then this chaotic mess we witness with so many miserable people will continue!!
