The Amalgamated Order of Real Bearded Santas (AORBS) has called for costumed Santas to be put on the priority list for swine flu vaccine shots. Apparently, the standard flask of gin concealed in a Santa suit just doesn't have the germ-killing power to defeat H1N1."I have heard across the country numerous Santas who have actually had the swine flu, but I have not heard reports back of any of our Santas being able to get the swine flu shot as of yet," said AORBS president Nicholas Trolli.
Trolli said he wants swine flu shots to protect not only the Santas but to protect the public. In the meantime, he is urging Santas to take vitamins and use hand sanitizer (Santa-izer?).
Another Santa group, Santa America, said they will require their Santas to wash their suits daily instead of once a week and dispense with white gloves so Santas can wash their hands more frequently.
And coming soon to a mall near you, the hermetically-sealed Santa chamber. Merry Christmas, kids!

What does Santa want for Christmas this year? Not cookies or milk, but swine flu vaccine.
