"The Monster Squad" finally hits Blu-ray in the form of a 20th-anniversary edition. We wish the Monster Squad made a cameo in "New Moon." At the very least, there would have been more references to wolf-man "nards." Also in stores this week:
-- DVD is the perfect format for "Funny People." All the extra features (like Jason Schwartzman's fake sitcom "Yo! Teach!") are far more entertaining than the actual movie.
-- "Ghost in the Shell 2.0" is a souped-up version of the trippy anime classic.
-- We are desperately trying to figure out if the "Santa Buddies" are somehow related to "Air Bud." Talk about diluting an already-diluted franchise. (Excuse us while we pop in our copy of "Golden Receiver."
