In a story that has livers everywhere trembling, the BrewDog Brewery in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, has released a new beer they claim is the world's strongest, packing a wallop at 32 percent alcohol by volume. Tactical Nuclear Penguin, as the beer is called, was aged for a year-and-a-half in whiskey casks and stored at -4 degrees Fahrenheit for three weeks to boost the alcohol content. Only 500 bottles were made, available for $50 a pop.
BrewDog stirred controversy earlier this year when it released an 18.2 percent beer called Tokyo, which was called "irresponsible" and reportedly banned. The brewers responded by releasing a 1.1 percent brew called "Nanny State."
"Beer has a terrible reputation in Britain," said James Watt, the managing director of BrewDog. "It's ignorant to assume that a beer can't be enjoyed responsibly like a nice dram or a glass of fine wine."
So remember, this holiday season, enjoy Tactical Nuclear Penguin responsibly. Meantime, get warmed up with this video from the brewmeisters themselves:

I am begging to see a trend where the more alcohol content the beer has the more expensive it is.
