In his first public statement since he was found unconscious in his own driveway, Tiger Woods emphatically doubled down on the ridiculous assertion that his wife was trying to "courageously" rescue him from his Cadillac Escalade when she attacked it (and possibly his head) with a Nike golf club of unknown length. This despite reports that Elin Nordegren had recently learned of a tabloid story that romantically linked Woods to a "party promoter."
As our friends at With Leather report, Tiger also refused to meet with the police for the third time yesterday -- probably because lying to the authorities about a possible crime is, well, a crime.
But just as Tiger is within his rights to stonewall the cops, the local D.A.'s office would seem to already have enough evidence to charge Nordegren with domestic assault. Should they do so, or is this just a private matter between a famous husband and a wife scorned?

If she put the marks on his face, she should be charged with criminal domestic violence. A man would definitely been charged.

Yes! She should be charged with assault! If Tiger woods, wife been a black woman, his black wife would be facing felony charges, right now! That is with no questions asked. This is bull shit! Do you remember,Brenda Richie?

Whatever transpired it sounds like a private matter between Tiger and his wife and family. He's the one who has to face them and he doesnt owe the world any explanation.

If she attacked him - charge her. Ironically, that would leave Tiger to decide if she deserves to be punished by pressing charges. Assault would indicate that she needs some sort of anger management counciling at a minimum. It appears that Tiger was trying to leave and let her calm down and she went after him with a "weapon". I'm definitely not trying to defend what Tiger did but, crime of passion or not, violence is never acceptable. Next time she might use something more lethal. The Police in this case are being way too stand-off-ish. I don't think they'd have been nice enough to keep coming back for questioning if it would have been the average person.

You bet she should automatically be charged w/domestic abuse -- that doesn't just apply to men in our society. I have no respect for any woman who can't control herself and resorts to violence against a man, her children, pets, etc. Maybe she and Chris Brown should start an affair. Tiger should definitely divorce her. Don't forget, she was only a nanny (=babysitter) and part time model (you know how important money is to her).

and because of that very reason ginger, evilin is not going anywhere. the sad thing is these men know these women are marrying them for there money and fame but just to have some one they think is pretty on there arm they do not care. it sound like a business deal he had to stipulate what she would get when they divorce. the longer she stays the more money she get. A legalized high priced hooker like nicole brown. he say she dried up the sex stopped when they got married that is because she do not have to have sex with u anymore sherlock she got u and two babies if she do leave which i doubt cause she likes being the wife of some one famous, she will take him to the cleaners. i am sure she is having sex with some one her own color like nicole was doing but she is smarter than him she know how to not get caught. and tiger is stupid for leaving those mesages and phone numbers in his phone and then laying it around. you know how women are get real.

While normally I would absolutely agree that violence is not the answer and she should be charged, I feel pretty strongly about the fact that men are let off the hook constantly for more severe acts of violence that are not the result of serious betrayals by their spouses. Two wrongs do not make a right, but charging her for this isn't necessarily the right thing either. I would say that considering how much we really do not know about what happened that night, the cops and DA should drop it unless they have real evidence that she was violent with him.

I also must add that it is totally offensive to suggest that it's all about the money, and she'll never leave him, and on and on and on. She has two small children to consider, her own personal health (if he is disease-free it is by sheer luck) and her own future as a woman who maintains her self-respect. She was a nanny for a family she knew, who happened to be a golf family, and she met and married Tiger. She's avoided being in the spotlight, she's clearly not in it for the attention, so just stop painting her as the money-grubbing whore and focus on the incredible betrayal she has just experienced so publicly.

She could have killed Tiger with that 9 iron that she broke his two teeth with and caused a cut in his cheek. I don't care how scorned or humiliated she was, there is something wrong with her for doing that. She should be charged, regardless if Tiger doesn't wish for that to happen.
