Sadly, Christian Bale's breakdown is not among the many special features on the "Terminator Salvation" Blu-ray release. You do, however, get Moon Bloodgood's very, very brief topless scene, which was cut from the theatrical release. Let's all petition to get the Bale meltdown released on the inevitable "ultimate" edition. Also in stores this week:
-- The new limited-edition "Mystery Science Theater 3000 XVI" set comes with an awesome Crow T. Robot action figure, as well as the MST3K gang riffing on "Santa Claus, Night of the Blood Beast." Perfect holiday gift.
-- By all accounts, "Better Off Ted" was one of the better ABC sitcoms in some time. Well, until "Modern Family" came long, at least.
-- The "Saturday Night Live Season Five" set collects the final season before the Eddie Murphy- and Joe Piscopo-led replacement cast came in and nearly killed the show. Sorry, Denny Dillon fans. Season six is the one you want.
