Around Asylum we have plenty of heroes. One speaks 59 languages. Another beat down a robber with a soda.

But there are no bigger heroes than the guys on our staff who grew mustaches to raise money for cancer research as a part of the Movember campaign.

Yes, Brian Childs, Jake Goodrich and Gordon Hurd, we're looking at you. You who sacrificed your upper lip and endured 30 days of mockery to fight the disease that gets men where it really hurts, and that other place around the corner that hurts even worse.

(Speaking of mockery, you should get a load of the flavor-saver served up by Asylum VP Jared Willig. He was so proud of his Tom Selleck-y lip sweater he refused to be photographed for this piece, concerned that the "soul" of his 'stache would be "stolen.")

To celebrate these noble acts of bravery, we're going to regale them and other participants of the Movember campaign this Friday at Capitale, 130 Bowery Street, in New York at 10 p.m. Please join us, show some respect for this fine fuzz and donate to their Movember pages.
