"Up In the Air" looks to be this year's movie to beat, as far as the Oscar race is concerned, what with George Clooney playing "sad George Clooney" and "Juno" director Jason Reitman behind the camera. Spoiler alert: It turns out Clooney's "eggo is preggo." And Michael Cera's the dad! Shenanigans ensue!

Also in theaters:

-- Critics are saying Robert De Niro gives his best performances in years in the holiday drama "Everybody's Fine." So why does the poster make it look like the next "Christmas with the Kranks"?
-- The war drama "Brothers" finds Jake Gyllenhaal shacking up with Natalie Portman while his brother (Tobey Maguire) is MIA in Afghanistan. Oh, like you wouldn't do the same. You'd probably make a move when he went out for milk.
-- The heist thriller "Armored," starring Laurence Fishburne and Stephen Dorff Matt Dillon, is directed by a man named Nimrod Antal. Watch at your own risk.
-- The only thing you need to know about the horror comedy "Transylmania" is that it's from the guys who brought you "National Lampoon's Dorm Daze." If we recall correctly, they brought that straight to video, right?
