What's crazier than one drunk operating a horse? How about two drunks operating a horse? In the span of a week, police in Pennsylvania arrested an Amish man for operating a horse and buggy while intoxicated and police in Tennessee arrested a woman after she cut out the middleman and just operated a horse itself drunk.
Police received several reports from a local Christmas parade of a woman on a white horse slumped in her saddle, but officers were unable to locate the woman or the horse in the parade.
Police eventually found 46-year-old Patti Lynn Moore, still slumped forward on her horse outside of a motel. The responding officer described her as "extremely intoxicated."
Unlike the intoxicated Amish man, Moore only received a misdemeanor charge of public intoxication. I guess that because technically, the horse was the designated driver.

I'm from Tx. one of the biggest & best trailride states in the country. I used to ride the S.West trailride and George Straight and son would sometimes ride with us, 'Budweiser' was our sponsor 1 yr. and I'll tell ya you never seen so many drunk cowboys in the saddle ( lol ).
Hell 1 night I got so drunk I fell off and slid right under my horse & went to sleep right there! Fortunately my ol horse didn't move till my buddies came and got me from under her!
( ROTFL )!!

No, Dori. But you must be, you're so defensive. Do you work on the side for cash?

Who was I defending? I just stated my opinion. I don't know the difference from a "real" brain damaged person as too one acting. Your friend got SSI in one month, faking,? she must be good @ it. I've never been on it, or applied, so I don't know if that's short time or a long time. No I don't work on the side for cash, I work up front for cash, legally.

I prefer drunks on horseback to drunks behind the wheel of a car that is capable of very high speeds.

Ever since "Lawyers" have dominated the yellow pages, you have every Tom, Dick, and Harry suing for that insurance policy. It has destroyed American businesses, Families, friends. The sad thing is the State or Federal never checks up on these dead-beats who lives off the humble real workers in life.

Ben there, done it. All through the '80's Especially on St Patty's day I rode for two days bar hopping. On several occations Police had interest in arresting me. Most City's and Villages still have laws on the books protecting Horseback Riders. I was never ticketed.
