MTV's beloved cult animated series "The Maxx" is finally available for home viewing, thanks to Amazon's CreateSpace self-publishing on-demand feature. Serious aficionados of '90s MTV animation will also want to download the bizarre series "The Head." Remember when MTV aired cool, risky stuff? Yeah, those days are long gone. Also in stores this week:
--Newly minted multiple-Golden Globe nominee "Inglourious Basterds" comes to DVD and Blu-ray with extended scenes and a discussion between Quentin Tarantino and Brad Pitt. It pairs well with the (properly spelled) Fred Williamson original.
-- "The Hangover (Unrated Two-Disc Special Edition)" features a gag reel, The Dan Band's rendition of "Fame" and an extra called "Ken Jeong's nonstop improv" -- for those who can't get enough of the guy who is literally everywhere right now.
-- "Cowboy Bebop" fans will want to pick up "Samurai Champloo: The Complete Series," the hip-hop samurai anime series with the best soundtrack around.
