In the spirit of French toast sticks (and, one might argue, chicken fries), Burger King has created funnel cake sticks, the sampling of which quickly became priority numero uno for the novelty food fans at Asylum HQ. So we hit up the local BK and ordered the cigar-shaped rods of slightly crispy, golden-brown dough, which come nine to a box and topped with a generous helping of fine white sugar.
Keep reading for the official verdict.
As if we weren't already fat enough, the King has upped the ante and thrown in a packet of icing. That's right, straight up cake frosting for dunking your powdered grease sticks.
Burger King has had some recent missteps (the why-weren't-they-awesome cheesy tots; the terrifying blow-up-doll campaign), but this ain't one of 'em. If you honestly can't get behind these tasty treats, served piping warm, then you're probably an enemy of fast food, in which case you should just forget about Burger King and go eat at a real restaurant.

dave, i work at BK. you're only supposed to get 9. Not 10. So the 1/3 times you got 10, the person must have liked you.

I'd give these a 9 out of 10. Funnel cake sticks were delicious with and without the frosting, and I like they are available all day, not just breakfast.

I had them today. No way I could even touch the icing. But the hot, slightly crispy, greasy sticks with powdered sugar.... made me go weak in the knees! :)
