On Dec. 9 on the seedy streets of New York City, an upscale sex boutique opened its doors. Aside from its high-end erotica, Coco de Mer has been making waves with its exhibitionist-friendly dressing rooms.

One lonely Friday night, we decided to visit and see what all the fuss is about.

Inside the dressing room, we spot a divot in the wall, and next to it a touch-screen menu, which prompts us to take a photo of ourselves.

According to the retailer's (definitely NSFW) Web site: "Behind that little picture frame in Coco de Mer's changing room is a secret peek-a-boo camera that can spy on you while you undress. By pressing that magic button of consentuality [sic], you can send your lover a naughty photo while he/she is performing mundane duties."

Indeed, any photo you take can be emailed to anyone you please. But more crucial to your privacy concerns, the photos automatically post to a racy page on the store's Web site.

As for that tiny hatch above the chair in the photograph above? It's a two-way confessional style door that can be opened at your neighbor's consent to reveal what we're just going to refer to as a "glory square."

After spending way too much time contemplating what we might do if a special someone had joined us, we concluded that shopping has perhaps gotten enjoyable for the first time in our lives.
