Though pretty thin in the story department, "9" was the closest that video game nerds will ever get to seeing the style of the "Oddworld" series on the big screen. Still, we refuse to call it "stitchpunk" on principle. Nerds ruin everything. Also in stores this week:
-- "The Marine 2" replaces John Cena with Ted DiBiase Jr., WWE star and son of Ted "The Million Dollar Man" DiBiase. We're honestly not sure if this is a downgrade or a huge upgrade.
-- "A Perfect Getaway" was surprisingly solid for a Milla Jovovich-thriller dumped into theaters at the end of the summer.
-- "Paranormal Activity" is sure to be less terrifying at home, where fellow audience members won't scream in your ear and you can pause for snack breaks -- or the occasional "Jersey Shore" marathon.
