Required playing from the week in video games.

"Gauntlet," for Nintendo DS, updates the classic fantasy arcade game for the RPG world. Now a whole new generation will know the simple joys of the words "Elf needs food badly."

Also in stores this week:
-- The racing game "Asphalt: Urban GT 2," now available on PSP, features a "special appearance" by the Pussycat Dolls and the music of Moby. So basically it's the video game equivalent of spending the evening in a terrible Vegas nightclub.
-- "Pixeljunk Shooter" brings us back to the days of fun, side-scroller blasting games, like "Gradius" and "Moon Patrol," but with an added puzzle element.
-- "World Party Games" lets you and your pals compete in various events -- like, hanging with seals in Antarctica or racing up the Eiffel Tower -- in a giant, international-themed amusement park. Finally, a game that recreates the experience of being wasted at Epcot.
