Michael Cera often plays an adolescent everyman who finds himself pulled into difficult situations by unscrupulous cohorts. His latest movie, "Youth in Revolt," features him in a similar role to his appearances in "Superbad" and "Year One" -- except the unscrupulous cohort is an imaginary version of himself.I recently sat down with the actor to discuss this new role and men's lifestyle issues, in general. Unfortunately, Moviefone's Kevin Polowy had to be involved, due to Cera's time constraints.
Please note: Polowy repeatedly tries to undermine me in the following vids. We applaud Cera's professionalism in the face of the assault on Asylum's journalistic integrity ...
From the beginning you can tell Polowy has it in for me. I never trusted that guy ...
In Part 2, watch how he kisses up to Michael Cera. This was a sad day for entertainment journalism ...

I don't believe ANY OF THIS IS REAL! I think it's all a publicity stunt, and a bad one at that.
It's ridiculous.......

I agree. It was BS from the start. And IF it were not preset to come off as it did, then I can only say that the Asylum interviewer was the most unprofessional I have ever seen. Afraid to jump in with his questions. Body language, that of a pissed off gorilla. Bad attitude in general. And above it all, he was completely unprepared for this and it showed big time in what his line of questions turned out as. He came off like a 5th grader interviewing the school principal about school lunches. God, I pray that this was a hoax interview, or at least somewhat staged. If not, the entertainment industry is in big trouble...

This was obviously staged. If not, the the Asylum interviewer really needs to go back to journalism school. He should also lose the 5th grade attitude, grow a pair and learn to jump in to ask REAL questions...

Are you guys actually really upset about this? It's clearly a joke, and frankly, I got a bunch of laughs out of it. It's called parody, folks. Take a class and maybe the subtlety won't be lost on you.

What a whiner. This guy really asked Cera what his favorite bar food is? And he's questioning someone else's journalistic integrity? How about journalistic competence, for chrissake. If this is for real, both these guys are complete idiots. I'm guessing, though, that it's all a put-on. It's hard to believe that AOL would put these guys on the payroll for real if it weren't. If it is a put-on, it's not a very good one. "Make yourself look like an idiot on TV." Yeah. Good put-on.

i love this. if you've ever watched any michael cera movie you know he has a dry sense of humor and the interviewers are playing off of it. i think its even funnier that most of the comments are from people who clearly dont get it. maybe you should try throwing in a poop joke and then maybe they'll be entertained.
