Here's this week's most outrageous relationship red flag story from the editors of The Little Black Blog of Big Red Flags. The Story: When the girl I was just starting to date told me one of her pet peeves was the toilet seat being left up, I figured it wasn't really a problem since I am usually good about putting it down.
However, one night she was over at my house and the seat just happened to be up. Upon discovering this, she yelled, "Oh my god! Come put this down, now."
Busy with something, I told her to just do it herself. She refused, so I suggested she go somewhere else if she had to use the bathroom that badly. Rather than use another toilet in my house, she left and went to a gas station.
I'm all for polite etiquette, but come on, a girl who is too good to put a toilet seat down the every once in a while it happens to be left up, is flagged high-maintenance in my book.

I dunno my fiance almost always puts the seat down, but when he leaves it up I could care less, I mean if I wanted it to be put down all the time how would i feel if he asked me to put the seat UP when IM done?

When im done I always put both lids down. So we all have to lift before anything can go on.

This was a game of "prove that you love me" aka "what can I get him to do for me". No reasonable person wouldn't just knock the seat down (with a square of toilet paper if necessary)

The way I see it, I put it up you can put it down. After all I'm not the one that has to worry about a little pee on the toilet but once I day. So I think that's a pretty good compromise.

With equal rights come equal responsibilities. If women want to be treated equally they should be willing to do their fair share. In fact sometimes we leave it down for them, so I would say that we're already doing more than our share. I mean, how many times in the history of the world has a woman ever left up a seat for a man? She'd have no reason, save for the ridiculous possibility that he'd asked her to. By my count it's close to, if not, zero. I want my toilet seat placement reparations and I want them now.

What equal rights? Did you think the ERA passed? NO, it did NOT. It was finally defeated in 1984 never to return again. There are no equal rights.
