Lord knows when you're serving time you want to look your best for that hour you get out in the yard. But what's the best way to make yourself stand out?

Previously prisons have offered up body piercings and some rudimentary tattoos, but today's hardened felon needs something a little more exotic, like an eyeball tattoo.

Two inmates wanting to stand out from the crowd decided to tattoo the whites of their eyes red and blue respectively. When asked why, David Boltjes says, "Why not?"

Neither inmate would explain how they managed to go sci-fi with their eyes, except to say that it was pretty painful, which seems to go without saying. Click through to check out video.
