If only every time somebody assaulted a cop they were forced to wear a flower-embellished sign rather than being tasered senseless, the world would be a much more entertaining place.

Sadly that's not the case, so we'll have to take solace in the public shaming of Alexandra Espinosa-Amaya, who shoved a uniformed, off-duty cop by the face after being kicked out of a club for tying a balloon to her wrist on her birthday.

Officer Brennan had wanted a unique sanction for the woman, who knocked his glasses off his face, and the judge seemingly obliged, sentencing her to two years' probation, anger-management classes, 50 hours of community service, writing a letter of apology and, of course, standing outside the station wearing a sandwich-board-style apology for four hours.

There's still no word on whether or not the Coldplay she was listening to on her iPod while advertising her wrongdoing was part of her punishment.
