FilmDrunk has the latest trailer for the movie version of "MacGruber," the Pepsi-shilling MacGyver spoof that has garnered pretty consistent laughs on "Saturday Night Live" over the last few years. In the film, which will be released in April, Will Forte reprises his role as incompetent special agent MacGruber, fat Val Kilmer plays the pony-tailed villain, and Kirsten Wiig (wearing various wigs) portrays the love interest. The trailer looks pretty promising, which would be in direct contrast to the long trend of SNL films reeking like dog poo.
In fact, we were going to call this poll "What's the worst SNL film ever?" However, after consulting the box office numbers, we realized that there couldn't possibly be enough people who have seen both "Stuart Saves His Family" and "It's Pat" to render such a survey legitimate.
| A Night at the Roxbury -- stupid, but legitimately funny at times. | |
|---|---|
| Coneheads -- it finally gave Jane Curtin something to do. | |
| Blues Brothers -- dated, if you've seen it lately. | |
| Wayne's World -- birthed multiple catchphrases. | |
| Other -- let us know in the comments (if you dare.) |

Let's not forget about "Stripes" or "Meatballs". Bill Murray was hysterical in these star making roles.

Caddyshack was great, but it wasn't based on a SNL skit. If it was for a movie starring an alumni from SNL, Animal House, hands down!

Lets's not forget Leon Phelps, The Ladies Man!! Tim Meadows is a severly underratted SNL vet.

Umm...how about "The Ladies Man"? Certainly one of the most quotable movies ever released, irregardless of its SNL roots.
