Not long ago, we alerted you to the existence of a blog with an elegantly simple mission: to Photoshop actor Nicolas Cage onto everyone imaginable.

This site was founded on "the belief that everything in life would be better with a little more Nic Cage, the most unique and versatile actor of his generation." Of course, it's the dream of every superfan to gain the approval of their love subject.

So we reached out to the actor himself to find out what he thought of this wide-ranging tribute. All of you hard-working Photoshoppers should be glad to find out that he loves the site. According to his PR folks, Mr. Cage's reaction to the site was as follows:

"I think it's genius and I am deeply honored."

We're still waiting for a response from the blogger who created the site, but a few weeks ago he told Asylum how he got the brilliant idea.

"It began when it was brought to my attention that I was 'obsessed' with Nic Cage, meaning that I brought him up in conversation nearly everyday in our carpool. I think he's a fascinating and unique actor, even when he's in big budget films that people don't necessarily deem 'good.' The great thing about Nic Cage is that, like in his films, no matter 'who he is,' he's still essentially Nic Cage."
