A religious TV channel has been flooded by hoax emails tricking presenters into reading out the lyrics from "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" and Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up."

Pranksters besieged the U.K. station "Genesis TV" to such an extent, it has started double-checking all incoming emails for pop culture references before they are read out on air.

The hoax messages often include lyrics from songs, or references to TV shows and movies -- like one "born-again Christian" who wrote, "I was born in West Philadelphia and also raised there, I spent most of my days playing basketball ..."

Later someone asked presenters of another show to pray for their cousin Carlton and uncle Phil, who have been having a hard time finding jobs.
