"With an Animal," "Showing Off Muscles," and "Doing Something Interesting" are the top photo contexts for guys wanting to date a woman on OKCupid.com, according to their recent study, The 4 Big Myths of Profile Pictures. Since I don't want you to click away yet, I'll tell you the myths: 1) It's better to smile; 2) you shouldn't take your picture with a phone or webcam; 3) guys should keep their shirts on; and 4) make sure you show your face.
As Asylum's most desirable male contributor (after Anthony), the editorial staff asked me to test the study by compiling six photos that meet the findings. I sent the pics to Erin Scottberg of Lemondrop for her to judge. In turn, she sent me six photos based on the female results of the study. She and I are known as the "Brangelina" of blogging, so if we couldn't turn each other on, nobody would.

My Photos
With An AnimalI chose this photo because it shows the duality of my personality. Yes, I love a cute Chihuahua, but I'm also dangerous because I smoke a pipe like William Faulkner, Sherlock Holmes and The Jew Hunter from "Inglourious Basterds." Plus, I'm not smiling.
Showing Off MusclesNot only do I look totally ripped here, but it proves three other things: 1) I own Ray Bans; 2) I enjoy the beach; and 3) I have at least one black friend. This is especially important going into February.
Doing Something InterestingWhat's more interesting than feeding stingrays in Bora Bora? Yes, I realize that my reaction is that of a scared little girl as the ray splashes my face. This shows women that I have a sensitive side, along with being a fearless, muscular adventurer.
Having Fun With FriendsFor the fourth-most popular photo context, I decided on this pic even though it's breaking the rules of smiling and showing my face. The shot shows that I'm clearly the alpha male of my group and sparks interest: Are they just goofing around? Or is this the before shot of an orgy?
OutdoorsThe fifth-best photo pose is tough for New Yorkers. Our "outdoors" is Houston Street. So I chose a photo of me at the Gay Pride Parade, since there were plenty of bears, chickens and silver foxes around. It felt like the wilderness.
Drinking Women want to see that you know how to have a good time. That's why "drinking" is the sixth-most popular photo context. Obviously, I have so much fun, I pass out on bars. In the past, I wouldn't want females to see my drinking problem immediately. However, OKCupid.com's study turned everything I thought upside-down.

Erin's Photos and My Reactions
According to the study, seven popular photo poses for women wanting to attract men are: The MySpace Shot, In Bed, Outdoors, Travel Photo, Hanging Out With Friends, Doing Something Interesting and Drinking.
The MySpace ShotI'm not sure if I've just been conditioned by years of social networking, but I understand why this is the most popular pose. I feel like she's a naughty teenager who is going to give me tons of attitude ... and I want her to.
In BedHmmm, I think Erin misconstrued this pose as "Sleepy and Annoyed at Camera." I feel like she's saying, "Get out of my bed. You look nothing like Marky Mark now that it's daytime and I'm sober."
OutdoorsI understand why this is a popular shot. It tells guys that the woman is active and not high-maintenance. However, all it makes me think is, Sh**, this chick is gonna make me hike.
Travel PhotoInternet dating sites reveal where you live, so I would know Erin lives in New York. That means the only traveling she did was on a ferry to Liberty Island. Still, something about this photo makes me want to give her my "huddled masses."
Having Fun With FriendsPigtails and beer! Ladies, take notes on this photo. I've never met a bitchy girl wearing pigtails and drinking a beer. Plus, this is an excellent angle for her rack. While I can't tell if these people are really her friends, Erin may be trying to open-mouth kiss the blonde.
Doing Something InterestingCirque du Hooray! This shows skin, her agility, and an adventurous spirit. Erin, let's see "Zumanity" and get freaky.
DrinkingIf I were browsing profiles online and came across this photo, I would ask Erin out just to hear the story. Was it Christmas or does she just like Santa hats? What was the pink flamingo saying to her? How long did it take the police to arrest her for public drunkenness?
I hate to be clichéd, but my favorite is her MySpace Pic, followed by "Having Fun with Friend" and "Doing Something Interesting."

asylum and lemondrop are probably the most stupidest sites ever. what picture is the best and drinking is a close number one. I dont want anyone drunk when i am dating them or going to meet them. these two sites should be ignored and hopefully dropped from the internet. Both sites are as bad as Glamour and Cosmo magazines
