New York City's unemployment rate is the highest it's been in nearly 17 years. Mayor Bloomberg's brilliant plan to fix it? Start a reality television show to help locals find work. The show, creatively called 'Job Hunt,' aired last night at 9 (hopefully it didn't impact the 'Lost' premiere too much!) and featured expert advice on resume-writing and interviewing as it tracked the real-life search of locals.
If you missed the first episode of the 10-part series, you can catch it again on Thursday at 5 a.m. on NYC Life (channel 25) or at nyc.gov. Or you can, you know, use that time to apply for jobs. Either way, we're sure Bloomberg will be proud of you.
