If we're honest, we're not sure what's going on here.

What we do know is that when Google Street View passed through a quiet Norwegian lane (Rugdeveien 39 in Bergen), they captured two guys dressed in full scuba gear, relaxing in the sun.

Leaping into action, the pair of underwater explorers proceeded to chase the Google staffers down the road, wielding weapons as they ran, before finally giving up on their loopy pursuit.

The find adds to the ever growing list of amazing things caught on Street View, which includes Top Gear's Stig kicking back next to Loch Ness and busy at work at the BBC.

1. From a distance the scuba sunbathers are spotted by the Street View car and photographed, minding their own business.

2. The pair notice the Google vehicle (probably due to the giant four-way camera on the roof) and ponder their next move.

3. Aggrieved (and why wouldn't they be?), they launch into action, chasing the vehicle with weapons!

4. Alas, the car is too quick, so they are forced to wave their fists in fury like an old man in a cartoon.

5. And the car heads into the distance, leaving our irate men cursing.
