Just because you're a bank robber doesn't mean you have to sublimate all your other hobbies and interests. That's why we're so into the "ESPN Bandit," a bank robber so nicknamed because he wears his love of the sports network on his head. The FBI is searching for the bandit, who has struck at least four banks in the Chicago area since December, and wore the same ESPN baseball cap during each of the heists. Most recently, the man targeted a Fifth Third Bank branch on Monday.
Besides sporting the ESPN cap, the bank robber's MO is slipping the teller an envelope and type-written note demanding money.
Chances are he's probably chucked the hat by now, but if you live in the Chicago area and have seen a man between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10 with a medium build, graying black hair, a full beard, and black thick framed glasses, exert your citizenship and contact the FBI at 312-421-6700.
