A good way for a person never to be taken seriously again is to confidently claim he's seen a UFO or encountered an alien life form. But what if it were true? What if the photos weren't doctored, and many a hard-working, honest citizen of Earth really has felt the cruel jolt that is alien steel shoved into an embarrassing orifice?
What if the aliens purposely leave behind the flimsiest evidence of their existence, so they can lull us into complacency while they survey our cities and test our stool samples in preparation for their big attack?
What would it take for you to believe that not only are we not alone, but that our extraterrestrial neighbors have already made contact? Read on for some the latest developments in encounters of differently numbered kinds.

Keep an open mind about any green man you see
- Astronaut Edgar Mitchell, the fifth man to walk on the moon, has repeatedly stated that the U.S. government knows about many legitimate UFO and alien sightings. He claims he has talked to government officials around the world who have interacted with extraterrestrials.
- Somewhat to that end, various governments have recently declassified thousands of documents pertaining to aliens and UFOs -- which begs the question, "What are they still hiding?"
- It's foolish to try to imagine what the future holds. If you went back in time 100 years few would even be able to conceptualize the technology humans would soon develop. So, there very well could be an alien race an unfathomable number of light years away who have the ability to pay us a visit tomorrow.
- It turns out there is a naturally occurring upper-atmospheric discharge called a "sprite" that looks a lot like an alien spacecraft. It may be responsible for many of the unexplained UFO sightings over the years.
- Because analog technology is being phased out, less and less Earth-illuminating radiation is being emitted from our planet's atmosphere. Thus, even if there were aliens, it would be increasingly hard for them to distinguish Earth from the trillions of other unoccupied rocks in the universe.
- If we learned anything over the last decade, it's that folks will stand behind crazy and easily debunkable theories concerning everything from who was responsible for 9/11 to where the president may have been born. So it stands to reason that some will spread the aliens-have-already made-contact gospel with the same hopelessly inaccurate gusto.

I already believe in both. UFOs clearly exist. But UFO doesn't mean alien spaceship. A UFO is an UNIDENTIFIED flying object. UFOs are well documented. That they're unidentified doesn't mean they're aliens.
As for aliens, if you consider the impossible vastness of the universe and the countless billions of stars, life elsewhere in the universe is very likely. Little green men anally probing us? Probably not. But life, absolutely.

Ufo and extraterrestrial life has nothing to do with belief, therefor asking the question you ask in the title, is not only wrong, but also most harmful for the issue at hand.
Fact is, this is a scientific research field, just as any other. It has nothing to do with beliefs or believing, just as much as no one "believes" in black holes for instance.
The use of the term "belief in UFO's" has to banned, the sooner the better, as it comes from myths, misunderstanding and ignorance.

So alternative theories about 9/11 are "easily debunkable"?
9/11 was an inside job; deal with it, but don't expect all your leaders to play along with your ignorance.
All the people, more daily, who are part of the 9/11 Truth Movement know more about the events of that day than all the brainwashed American sheeple slobs who simply accept that "we were attacked & them towers came down! Let's kill us some Ay-rabs!"

The End: Gosh, what an unbiased, logical polemic you present on 911 and mean old devil Bush. Your screed certainly settles the question for me.

The words 'to believe' should be replaced in most instances with the words 'to ignorantly assume'... for to believe is to cross out of the relm of knowledge and into the relm of 'I don't know - but I will act as if I do'... and that is not only stupid, but very dangerous.
Just ask yourself this: "Does gravity depend on me believing for it to work? Then realize that nothing REAL does.
It's okay to aknowledge grey areas in which we simply cannot know. But to go into them and make a pronouncement one way or the other is not called for and unwisely arrogant.
Be smart...be unique... stick with facts and empirical truth. Beyond that lies the land of fools... highly populated with the followers of 4,200 religions.

If you want facts and tenical answers know them as well. Several years ago there were more than 30,000 Christian faith structures. The correct thing is that the number of religions changes almost on a daily basis, but the overriding faith structure are manifold.

I believe in UFO's. I am not saying they are aliens! I will have to see and alien to believe in them just as I would Leprechauns, Fairy’s and Troll’s. However, I have seen one unidentified object as it flew parallel with the Highway I live on. I have since looked for picture's to compare with what I seen but as of yet I have not. I would like to know what it was however, I can not scream aliens!

God made the earth and human’s animals even other planets. We humans do not even know whether space ever stops, it may have no end, and if it did have an end what is beyond that. I ask myself these types of things all the time, I also ask myself, with all these other planets and space why we are the only living things. Or are we? What we most won’t to know is whether there is other intelligent life out there, we may never really know but I desperately won’t to find out and see something amazing. Besides I think you would have to be dumb to think we are the only living things because like I said space is basically never ending the Likely chance of living life apart from us is near certain considering the numbers of planets and galaxy’s.
