Amid allegations of sexual harassment and naked shower encounters with White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, there's one aspect of the tale of Rep. Eric Massa (D-NY) that stands out for us: Apparently, he's a "Battlestar Galactica" fan. Does this make us somewhat sadly geektastic? Maybe.

In a radio interview this weekend, Massa described an incident in which he joked that he should be "frakking" a male staffer. Of course, we also noticed that MSNBC may have misspelled the colonial expletive in their transcript of the quote.

After the jump, check out the video, and watch us play galactic grammar cops.

As far as we're concerned, there's only one way to spell "frak," but we decided to check with the Internet, which says that the "frack" spelling was used in the original series. As any good geek will tell you, this is about as meaningful as the events in a Star Trek novel. Besides, its usage in the original series was not as directly contextualized to the modern F-word as it is in the new BSG.

We're glad we could clear this up, and we look forward to hearing that Massa's staffer told him to get his gorram head out of his ass.
