And now, a brief history of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's recent film credits: "The Mummy Returns," "The Scorpion King," "The Rundown," "Walking Tall," "Doom," "Gridiron Gang," "The Game Plan," "Race to Witch Mountain," "Planet 51" and "Tooth Fairy"?Do you notice a trend? The Rock's movies seem to be getting wimpier with each outing. Seriously, did anyone see "Tooth Fairy"? We want to see some blood and gore, some violence, maybe even a sword fight or two! Is that too much to ask? Sadly it looks like the Rock is now the poster-boy for tough guys in family comedies, but there is still some hope: "Planet 51" is an animated film where Dwayne Johnson performs the voice of Chuck Baker, an astronaut sent to explore a distant planet. This movie is intended for children, but still manages to keep older viewers interested with its more adult jokes.
Asylum.com managed to get our hands on a copy of the "Planet 51" DVD and the video game for PS3. And, guess what? We want to give them to you! Well, we do if you can tell us which animated movie is the best for both children and adults to watch? And why? Leave your answers in the comments section below for a chance to win this prize. Easily the best animated movie for both kids and adults to watch would be Monsters Vs Aliens. I mean who doesn't love Stephen Colbert as the president? The kids go koo-koo for the blob and laugh at his stupid antics.

Shrek gets my vote. It has silly humor for the kids, but plenty of adult humor woven in too.

I would say Open Season is a good animated movie for both kids and adults. Kids will like the cutesy bear and dear friendship and the adults can probably appreciate the scoundrel trying to kill said cutesy bear and dear friendship. LOL.

Cinderella is the best animated movie for both children and adults to watch. I believe it shows children that there should be a lasting love in marriage. This is a lesson adults should take heed of since marriage seems to be a joke these days.

Sounds corny, but in this house, we like watching the classic Disney animated movies, and Sleeping Beauty is a favorite.

My 4 year old granddaughter and I (age 67) watched and loved the animated movie UP - we had tears in our eyes at different parts of the movie but we both cried at the end.

I'd recommend Up. Not too old for kids, yet old enough for adults to enjoy.

I have to say it's a tie between Toy Story and Incredibles. Great humor, nostalgia for the adults and good story arch while humor and story the kids can relate to as well. Most adults can relate to the relationships between the parent figures as well as the adventure and imagination of the stories. I think any animation that appeals to both children and adults has lasting value as the recipe is the same, great story, believable or fun characters, quality animation and relatabiliy even in fantasy.
