First place went to competitive gymnast and pole dancer Alethea Austin of California, who took home a cool $5,000, a gift certificate to Pole Skivvies and a chance to perform in Australia. We sent Asylum's photographer to get an eyeful of the event. Check out the photos below.

You don't have to look like cheap sluts in a pole dancing competition. Oh wait, only cheap sluts do occupy a pole!!

These girls aren't cheap sluts, in fact, I'm fairly confident you couldn't get anyone of these fine ladies... In fact, I'm 100% sure they could kick your ass, gracefully.
Keep rocking it pretty ladies.

wow cheap sluts? lol those girls right there are far from cheap sluts. Both are great ATHLETES. The one on the left is Karol and she is the East Coast Pole Dance Champion and the the woman on the right is Alethea I'm pretty sure and she is odvious the champion. Why don't you go look up Jenyne Butterfly and tell me if she looks like a cheap slut. Why just because they are wearing boyshorts and a sports top, they are cheap sluts? Ha what the hell do the gymnasts in the Olympics wear, their butt cheeks are practically falling out. If you knew anything about pole dancing you would no that in order to stick to the pole it must have contact with the pole idiots. And to anyone who has negative opinions about pole dancing, why don't you go try to lift yourself up on a pole and see how hard it is.

There will always be those people who try to look down on others. Really, these girls are amazing athletes, but it's so much easier to call them cheap sluts than recognize that. It probably doesn't help female athletes much to have "The Hottest Female Athlete Photo Shoots (Bleacher Report)" link appear when you click on this link either. Let's face it, there are lots of people who think that "female" and "athlete" don't belong in the same sentence. They can think what they want. We know the truth about female athletes, and pole champions.

Pole Dancing aka Vertical Gymnastics is work- out intensive. Instead of being ignorant and ranting about "cheap sluts", take up a class. And if you can do an invert your first time and don't find the sport challenging, say what you want. But, research first. And these aren't the type of females you would be leering at from afar at the clubs. They actually can do more than just slide up and down and shake their ass.
