Many of you may think that pole dancing is just for strippers or ruining the occasional wedding, but this weekend the stilettos were on and flyin' around for the second annual U.S. Pole Dance Federation Championship in NYC.

First place went to competitive gymnast and pole dancer Alethea Austin of California, who took home a cool $5,000, a gift certificate to Pole Skivvies and a chance to perform in Australia. We sent Asylum's photographer to get an eyeful of the event. Check out the photos below.
