Chuck Todd, NBC chief White House correspondent and host of MSNBC's "The Daily Rundown," is known to political junkies the world over as a steady, reasoned and influential analyst who cares deeply about journalism. As Chuck's friend and colleague, I felt it was my duty to reveal that there's much more to him than the keen political instincts and sense of professionalism he displayed in our last interview. With the help of Asylum's crack editorial staff, we devised a set of questions designed to get at the essential truth of the man. I'd say we succeeded in arriving there. Check out our interview, in which Chuck talks about "Star Wars," tattoos, classic TV and perhaps more than you ever wanted to know.
I broke up our investigation into three short segments to make it more easily digestible. In part one, I ask Chuck about his most and least favorite "Star Wars" characters. He also reveals an aptitude for impressions, as well as something surprising about Robert Gibbs.
Part Two: Chuck gives rock-solid advice on tattoos.
Part Three: I ask Chuck what he thinks happens at the end of "Lost." He also reveals a longstanding bitterness at an unlikely classic TV cliffhanger.
Tommy Christopher is Asylum's White House correspondent.

Chuck and Savannah are two of the best in the business. What a refreshing early morning show. It's light and funny yet the subject matter is serious. Great combo of intelligence and youthful looks.

They are classic left leaning "journalists" who give their opinions not the "news". I find it sad that journalism has become so tainted.

Joyce, if you believe that Chuck Todd is a "pretend journalist," please give an example of a journalist you consider to be "true and pure."

I clicked on to see who Chuck Todd was & I need read no further than the first line after I saw MSNBC. If he wants to be known then he will get off that nutty channel. They are on the bottom of the totem pole. Any where I go doctor, bar, restaurants, hospitals, etc... the TV is usually always on FOX or CNN. Nobody that I know watches MSNBC. I have watched it only a couple of times and got a headache. Too much yelling and screaming going on.

Everyone who has a year of viewing experience knows that Chuck Todd is a biased jerk.

Hey gizmo! MSNBC is the ONLY alternative to the biased news on Fox. Before MSNBC, the news was so one-sided and right-wing, that it was hard to find any truthful reporting. MSNBC came along as the only alternative to Fox's lies. Now that they have competition, FoxNews is on the run. They can lie, but they can't hide anymore. This is America, Jack. News channels should be objective in their reporting. Fox is not, so MSNBC had to be invented to balance out the news.

I learned from your response that you have no clue what a real journalist does. This guy is the most efficient, most knowledgeable newsman I have come across in a long time. This is a journalist with almost 50 years experience offering this opinion.

I still have trouble that he never shaved off his beard when he lost his bet. If his word is useless in that matter , how can I trust him in other phases of his life?

You liberals do love your little mutual gush-orgies don't you?
Too bad the rest of America doesn't find you quite as splendid
as you believe you are... in fact we find you to be at the very least contemptible.
Just in case you're unclear as to what that means...MSNBC and Chuck Todd sucks wrecktm.

For those that ascribe to the Ted Kennedy/Barrack Obama/Barney Frank school of "if they have something that others don't they got it unfairly and let's take it away", I'm sure this guy is a true believer and hero to them all. To the rest of us he's just another member of the whiney cadre educated with a major in basket weaving and a minor in sympathy for the underprivleged.

Are you mentally stable? Maybe you need to be on a watch list for those with illusions of grandeur- regarding MSNBC as anything other than an assemblage of sick puppies is perveted!
